The Malta Equestrian Federation was established in 1999 and is officially affiliated with the Federation Equestre International. Ever since its inception, the MEF has worked tirelessly to promote the professional development of all equestrian sports across the Maltese Islands.
Aims & Objectives
The main aim of the Malta Equestrian Federation is to attract and develop new talent on the local level and to provide professional training opportunities for both horse and rider in all equestrian disciplines. This is achieved through strategic collaboration with renowned international competitors and judges, who deliver training courses and clinics for local horse and rider teams. Additionally, the MEF also gives priority to investing in local talent by providing various opportunities to attend top level training curses abroad.
In order to ensure the best possible opportunities for horses and riders at local level, the MEF is dedicated to the setting up of proper facilities for the practice of the various equestrian disciplines. This is paramount for the improvement of the horsemanship skills that all our members strive to achieve.
The Malta Equestrian Federation aims to provide the training and competitive opportunities to all those willing to take them – while great improvements have been registered in recent years, a lot still remains to be achieved. Together, as a team, we will continue to work to make sure that the Malta is proudly represented in international equestrian arenas.
